Where It All Started

From one small town to a growing BBQ legacy

Big Nick’s Barbecue was named in honor of the owner’s late father, whose legacy continues to inspire the restaurant’s dedication to great food and community. The first location opened in Sylva, North Carolina in 2018, bringing authentic BBQ and a scratch-kitchen approach to the region.


Since then, Big Nick’s Barbecue has expanded to Murphy, North Carolina and Southwest Florida with locations in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. With over 30 years of pit experience behind the smoker, the team remains committed to preparing fresh barbecue daily using time-tested techniques and high-quality ingredients.

We are known for our lineup of smoked meats and bold BBQ flavors. Some of the most popular menu items include brisket, pork BBQ, smoked turkey breast, and St. Louis spare ribs. These smoked favorites highlight decades of pitmaster experience and the dedication to authentic barbecue.
